About us

Karla started at Ed's cantina as a hostess in the 90's. She worked her way up to become the owner in 2009. She often can be found in the kitchen combining fresh and simple ingredients. She is most thankful for her long time staff and the family environment they provide each and every day.

Called to the mountains at a young age, Kim and her family relocated from Texas. She comes from a corporate background but found her niche at Ed's Cantina, bringing with her a leadership in customer service, attention to details, and personal integrity. When you can't find her at Ed's Cantina you're likely to see her exploring nature with her son, spending time with their horse, biking around the lake or enjoying local grub and coffee.

Shawna traveled as a child to such places as the Philippines, South Korea, and coastal parts of the U.S. as her father was a nurse in the military. She then moved to the mountains of estes park in 1995 for her step father's work as a minister. (A well rounded individual she is!) She also spent time in Fort Collins and Loveland earning her associates in arts and sciences.

She's been rocking the service industry for over 20 years, 19 of them here at Ed's Cantina. She really loves this team and she took the bar manager position in 2006. She's super grateful to reside in such a magnificent mountain town with such a lovely community of people. She loves doing just about anything and everything in the sunshine, and she'll try anything 3 times. Hobbies include dancing, rock hounding, cocktails and tapas, unicorns, organic and sustainable food, music festivals, traveling, rocks and hugs.

Jose is from a small city in central Mexico. He loves working at Ed's Cantina because he is allowed to create new, fresh recipes with healthy produce, sourced locally. He and his wife have five children.
